#occupy phoenix

01:59 Oct 3 2011 Phoenix, Arizona

Description
Many of us all throughout Arizona stand by and continuously watch our state become more and more of a repressive hellhole. From SB1070, destroying ethnic studies, destroying the environment, Joe Arpaio and his cronies, massive austerity measures, and all the other corrupt racist bullshit this state keeps pushing at us, we have not pushed back hard to make any changes. We have a broken labor movement thanks to "right to work" laws, an apathetic immigrant rights movement, and at best we are told to "vote democrat"....

We stood by and watched the Arab Spring uprisings to overthrow tyrants and continues on today.

We stood by and watched the European Summer uprisings in Spain, Greece, and the rest of Europe and continues on today.

As fall approaches many wondered if there would be an American Autumn..Today we stand by and watch the protest in #occupywallstreet with hungering eyes and hope. It is our time to rise America!

On October 15th, a global date of action, we want to see people flood into Cesar Chavez Plaza

Oh terrific, use this huge global movement to spout your stupid anti-Arpaio, liberal, pro-Mexican-flood BS. I don't know who you are, but you don't represent the anti-banking cartel that is the REAL motivation behind 15 October.

*jsharbour*- regardless of the reasons or motives why we unite together, above all nothing matters mosts than coming together to represent what we stand for... humanity! If we fight amongst ourselves for this reason or that it shall defeat the purpose. The important thing to realize here is that we all in the end want the same thing... REAL FREEDOM!!!

This guy's complaints have nothing to do with the #occupy movement. He didn't even mention ONE thing that the #occupy movement is actually calling out the establishment on! Yea, I think I will pass and go to a real #occupy event somewhere else in the state. It's people like him that make the news reels and lend zero credibility to this global anti-corporatism movement.

Re: Corporate GREED / Kickbacks to Realtors... Members of the National Association of Realtors used Yield Spread Premium to receive kickbacks from lenders. Ask Realtors to return the kickbacks they collected on predatory loans. The financial benefit of Yield Spread Premium belongs to the client... You can find Yield Spread Premium on the settlement statement in your mortgage documents. It will be listed as P.O.C. or paid "outside of closing." This shows the dollar amount of the kickback your broker received for inflating your interest rate. Read the Link for the declaration of occupation for this grass roots movement, http://nycga.cc/2011/09/30/declaration-of-the-occupation-of-new-york-city/ The bottom of the declaration has an asterisk ** that states these grievances are not all inclusive. The original coordinators of www.occupywallstreet.org appear to be encouraging participants to stand up for what they believe is right and for what needs to change. Yes, financials are the top issue. Having an income, food and shelter help everyone. If Americans continue to fight amongst themselves and or stay at home at play video games, we have lost any opportunity to stand together in numbers, (numbers of people = money and votes to the politicians.) We have an opportunity to possibly gain back what individuals have lost over the last 10 years. Hardworking, innocent people have lost their homes in Arizona, yet instead of posting what YOU want to stand for, you criticize and fight each other. That is a waist of time, energy and resources. If the people of Greece did that, they would not be showing their strength against their government. Whether or not you personally believe SB1070, at least the people directly affected by that bill understood their right to organize and march on the Capital building. Personally, My focus is the shackles of ignorance forced on the public school children by doing little to nothing to improve the ranking of 50th in the United States.
